Training

This interactive training covers the most important aspects of model-driven data engineering in one day. The training is intended for anyone who wants to gain more insight into what it means to use a model-driven approach: IT or BI manager, Business analyst or Data Engineer.

After completing this training, you will have a good understanding of the possibilities and impossibilities of Model-Driven Data Engineering and you will have been given tools to implement this method in your own organization.

Required prior knowledge:

The PowerDesigner Data Modeling training is the perfect training if you have never or little worked with PowerDesigner. The focus of this training is on modeling data structures and lineage.

The training consists of a number of modules spread over 2 days.

Day 1

• Introduction to using PowerDesigner

• Forward and reverse engineering
• Data flow modeling (mappings)

Day 2

• Modeling with the MDDE extension
• Model checking, analysis and reporting capabilities in PowerDesigner
• Version control on models, repository, merging of models

In addition to theory, each module consists of assignments, so that it is two interactive days during which the participants themselves also have a lot of control.

SAP PowerDesigner is a versatile solution for data modeling. A powerful feature is that there are various ways to expand the functionality within PowerDesigner. In this training we will discuss various expansion possibilities so that you learn how you can get even more out of PowerDesigner as an organization than is possible by default.

This training can be provided in one or two days, depending on the desired level of depth.

This training is provided based on your wishes with the Java/Cucumber variant or the .NET/SpecFlow variant of CrossTest.
